RGU:Union is the representative body for students at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. In Aberdeen, rental prices are out of control with a Scottish Government paper stating that prices in Aberdeen had risen over 70% above inflation. The costs for students to live in Aberdeen are exceptionally high, and with a market that is suddenly flooded with student properties, but still charging high prices, something has to be done.
RGU:Union has established the 'Live Right' campaign, where we work to support students find safe, affordable housing in Aberdeen, and put more power into students hands to make the right choices on where they live. This new campaign, launched in 2016, shall raise awareness of housing issues through events (such as a Housing Fair, find a flatmate workshop), resources, training sessions, website content and more.
