Edinburgh College Students’ Association exists to represent the 17,000 students of Edinburgh College. Our elected full-time officers, staff and volunteers work with college management, the Scottish Government and as part of the National Union of Students (NUS) to help make students’ lives better at Edinburgh College. Whether you’ve got a problem with funding, want to start a society or want to campaign on student issues – we’re here to support you!

There’s loads of ways to get involved with us. We’re looking for students who’d like to speak up and represent their class. We’re looking for students to lead and develop our sports clubs and societies. We’re looking for students to work with us to make ECSA better.

In short, we’re looking for you!

RGU:Union is the representative body for students at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. In Aberdeen, rental prices are out of control with a Scottish Government paper stating that prices in Aberdeen had risen over 70% above inflation. The costs for students to live in Aberdeen are exceptionally high, and with a market that is suddenly flooded with student properties, but still charging high prices, something has to be done.

RGU:Union has established the 'Live Right' campaign, where we work to support students find safe, affordable housing in Aberdeen, and put more power into students hands to make the right choices on where they live. This new campaign, launched in 2016, shall raise awareness of housing issues through events (such as a Housing Fair, find a flatmate workshop), resources, training sessions, website content and more.

The programme equips students’ unions with all the tools they need to deliver engaging and informative training to students on the crucial issue of housing. Students who have attended the training will be empowered to become more active and informed tenants, both individually and collectively, and we believe that this has the potential to generate real change in the private rented sector.

This programme offers students’ unions/associations:

Once registered, we will set you up on the Ready to Rent U-Learn platform, where you will be able to view a series of short webinars which will help you understand more about the programme and how to deliver it.
