Ready to Rent is an innovative new training programme designed specifically for students. The programme will equip students’ unions with all the tools they need to deliver engaging and informative training to students on the crucial issue of housing. Students who have attended the training will be empowered to become more active and informed tenants, both individually and collectively, and we believe that this has the potential to generate real change in the private rented sector.

This programme offers students’ unions/associations:

• An opportunity to enhance what you offer to students around housing
• A way of being proactive in your advice to students, solving problems before they occur
• A host of support and resources to enable you to deliver the training effectively including an online hub, training resources, branding and evaluation tools

The training includes adapted versions for use in the nations, and is therefore applicable UK-wide. It can be delivered by staff, elected officers, or student volunteers and trainers do not need to be housing experts.
